Description: The Miami-Dade County Environmental Protection Ordinance has coastal and freshwater wetlands management programs and a tree and forest resources program. There are six classes of permits that vary based upon the impacts of the proposed activity. A Wetlands Trust Fund is also set up for acquiring, restoring, enhancing, managing or monitoring wetlands within Miami-Dade County.
